Data notes

1. Data sources. Traffic figures in this report, article, ranking, or chart are produced by deep integration of diversified mixed data sources, refined with Unique Research’s proprietary algorithms. The set combines broad market observation with technical insight, then undergoes strict labeling, professional classification, and systematic organization by the Unique Research team, aiming to reflect AI product market dynamics and trends as completely and accurately as possible.

2. Coverage scope. The data covers user behavior accessing AI products via websites and apps on computers, tablets, and smartphones. It does not include usage via browser extensions, desktop software, mini-programs, third-party apps such as Discord, or locally run open-source code.

The statistical universe is AI products with more than 10,000 monthly visits. On that filter, analysis focuses on Global Top 30/50/100, China Domestic Top 30/50/100, and Overseas Top 30/50/100 — products with high market activity and a broad user base — to surface competitive structure and distinctive user demand and behavior preferences in global and China AI markets.

3. How to use the data. Given the complexity and dynamism of collection and processing, and a constantly shifting market, the figures may contain some error or omission. Treat them as a research and analysis reference — a window into the AI product market — not as a definitive basis for specific investment strategies or consulting advice.

Definitions

1. Geographic dimension

  • Overseas AI products: founded by non-Chinese entrepreneurs or teams, and launched primarily for the global market (including but not limited to their home market).
  • China domestic AI products: founded by Chinese-national entrepreneurs or teams, launched primarily for the China market.
  • Overseas (go-global) AI products: founded by Chinese or Chinese-heritage entrepreneurs or teams, but with the primary market target set overseas (not the China domestic market).

2. Functional dimension

  • AI-native applications: products designed from the start with AI technology and algorithms deeply embedded; core value, business flow, or user experience depends entirely on AI. Without AI, the application would not exist or would lose its core value.
  • AI-feature applications: products that enhance existing functions or add new ones by integrating or embedding AI into an established business logic and application frame. They may already have a mature model and market position; AI raises efficiency, improves experience, or creates new value.
  • AI ecosystem applications: platform-class applications that support, connect, or facilitate exchange among AI R&D teams, application developers, service providers, and end users — spanning technology, markets, communities, and resource sharing to promote adoption, innovation, and collaboration.

Metric definitions

1. Web metrics

  • Visits: total visit count to a site over a period (e.g. one month), measuring traffic scale. Page views within a continuous active period count as one session; a new visit starts when the user becomes active again after more than 30 minutes of inactivity, or on a new day.
  • Unique Visitors: number of distinct IPs visiting the target domain in the period. Multiple days of visits by the same person in a month still count as one unique visitor.
  • Visit Duration: average time spent on the site in one session in the period — a key engagement metric, measured from the first to the last action in a visit. A visit expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.

2. App metrics

  • Downloads: times the app is downloaded in the period, typically counted per app store (App Store, Google Play, etc.).
  • Sessions: times the app is opened in the period; multiple opens within 5 seconds count as one.
  • Active Users: distinct users who performed at least one activity in the period.
  • Duration Time: total time users spent in the app in the period.
