# Recap | 2024 China AIGC Application & Development Conference Closes in Shanghai

On June 28, the **2024 China AIGC Application & Development Conference** closed at the Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao. Hosted by metaverse news platform Meta Home (米塔之家), co-hosted by Unique Capital and Jiazi Huanyu (加资寰宇), the summit theme was _Opening a New Era of Applications_ — covering a new productivity revolution and scene landing practice across application, model, and infrastructure layers via keynotes and roundtables.

Companies on site included Volcano Engine, Moore Threads, Baidu Wenxin Agent Platform, SenseTime, China Travel International, AiDesign & AiPPT.cn, Kehua Data, Zhipu AI, Tongdao Liepin, Shanghai Kuanhui, VAST, NYBL, WeShop, and more.

## Roundtable: growth of AI-native apps

Unique Capital partner **Wei Wu** moderated a roundtable on _Growth of AI-Native Applications_ with VAST CMO Sienna, WeShop ops director Lin Zicheng, and AiDesign & AiPPT.cn marketing VP Jiang Yilin — sharing how AI lifts internal efficiency and drives business growth.

Wu also shared Unique Research industry stats: ~**1,500** active AI companies globally — **751** China domestic, **103** go-global, **24** listed, **16** foundation-model companies. About **76%** of AI product startups sit at the application layer (notably enterprise services such as marketing and data management). Cumulative global AI financing reached **¥314.9B**, with overseas totals well above domestic. As of May 2024, **1,749** AI products exceeded 10k monthly visits globally; Chinese go-global products held **71** of those seats.

An AIGC tech zone featured Zhipu AI, AiDesign & AiPPT.cn, ICP, Kehua Data, AI Zhigu, and others.
